Time Off Provisions
All California employers are required to provide time off for certain activities, such as jury duty,(7) duty as a witness,(8) voting(9) and emergency duty as a volunteer firefighter.(10) All employers also are subject to the Uniformed Services Employment and Re-Employment Rights Act of 1994 (USERRA) and are required to provide time off for service in the military.
